The SPVG has determined that the driver of the moped, who was traveling on Boulevard Saint-René heading west, was hit by a van traveling on Boulevard de l’Hôpital heading north.
Police say the driver of the van quickly left the scene without helping the driver of the moped, a 16-year-old girl, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The police service is now working to locate the van involved, which is described as:
- Ford F series (250 or 350) Super Duty
- Four doors
- Grey
- Logo on the door suggests the van could be equipped with a diesel engine
- Set of running boards
- Door handles vertical
- At the time of the crash, a large ladder was in the back box
The SPVG is asking anyone with information to contact its info line at 819 243-4636, option 5.
Police are also thanking all those who stayed on scene to help the victim, and witnesses who have assisted with the investigation.
