Impaired driving charges laid following crash near Spencerville

Impaired driving charges have been laid following a single-vehicle collision on Highway 416.

Officers with the Grenville County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the crash in the northbound lanes near Spencerville around 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 23.

The vehicle ended up in some brush and the driver suffered minor injuries in the crash.

According to the OPP, a roadside sobriety test found the driver to be more than twice the legal limit.

The driver has been arrested and charged with impaired driving.
