Ottawa police are looking for a man who tried to break into a Kanata business.
On May 10, at around 2:15 p.m. the suspect entered a store at the 1100 block of Terry Fox Drive through the back door. He went through the office and attempted to access the business’ safe.
After being unsuccessful, he waited for staff to be distracted before taking the cash box from behind the counter. Police said he left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Police are hoping the public can help them identify the man. He is described as a white male in his late 40s to early 50s with an average build.
He has short salt and paper hair and was seen wearing a black sweatshirt with grey sleeves that said Nike Air on the back and logo on the front. The suspect was wearing black jeans and black shoes and black sunglasses on his head.
