Lanark OPP seeking information on Almonte home invasion

Provincial police are asking the public for help with the investigation into a home invasion in Almonte.

The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with members of the Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit, were called to a home on Smart Street shortly before 5 a.m. on Sunday, May 20.

It was reported several people had broken into the home, assaulted the residents, caused damage to the home and vehicle, and then took off on foot.

The victims did not suffer any serious injuries and investigators believe this was an isolated incident.

It’s not believe there is any risk to public safety.
