After delays on Monday, some commuters on Line 1 of the Ottawa light rail transit (LRT) system were met with shuttle buses to start their Wednesday morning.
R1 bus service is happening between St-Laurent and Blair, shuttle service between St-Laurent and Cyrville and trains are running in both directions between Tunney’s Pasture and St-Laurent.
According to Ottawa firefighters, they have been on scene at Blair Road just off Highway 174 since 6:53 a.m. with Ottawa police and OC Transpo.
A vehicle drove off the highway and struck a gas line, meaning the LRT in the east end had to be shut down while Enbridge gas works to contain the leak.
Officials say there is no injuries to report.
This is a developing story. More to come.
