Man suffers finger injuries after becoming trapped in machinery

A man in his 40s has been sent to hospital after getting his hand caught in a piece of work equipment in Ottawa’s Industrial Park neighbourhood.

Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) responded to a workplace in the 1400 block of Michael Street just after midnight on Friday, June 14.

Firefighters arrived and immediately began working to release the man from the machinery, which took 18 minutes.

The man was turned over to paramedics for appropriate medical care.

Marc-Antoine Deschamps of the Ottawa Paramedic Service tells CityNews Ottawa, that the man was treated on scene for injuries to his fingers and taken to hospital in stable condition.
