Ottawa police are asking the public for help to identify a man wanted for an assault.
According to officials, the incident happened in the 200 block of Charlotte Street on Sept. 19 just before 6:00 p.m. during a demonstration. Police said the man was “aggressive,” spitting at vehicles and some people who were leaving a business.
Officers attended the scene but the man already left.
The suspect is described as a white male, tall with a slim build. Police believe he is in his 40s with greying hair. At the time of the incident he was wearing a yellow shirt, green shorts and a brown sweater tied around his waist with a black or green fedora hat.
There are a few tattoos on his left arm.
