Ottawa OPP say five people are in hospital with life threatening injuries after a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 417 on Friday.
Police were at the scene of the accident on Highway 417 west near Carp.
Police said on social media that the westbound portion of the Highway will remain closed for “the next several hours”. There has been no update on if it has been re-opened.
The eastbound portion was blocked off but has since been reopened.
The OPP says the investigation is ongoing.
