OPP charge driver after crash between two tractor-trailers on Hwy. 401

This morning Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision just after 8 a.m. on Highway 401 near Johnstown, Ont., south of Kemptville.

Police say the serious collision between two tractor-trailers “briefly” closed the highway while the truck was removed.

Officials are reminding drivers to give their full attention when driving, “especially operators of commercial motor vehicles on major roadways.”

The “at-fault” driver was treated for minor injuries and was transported to hospital. They were later charged with careless driving.
