A man has been found dead on Highway 12 in South Stormont Township.
Members of the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the scene just before midnight on Monday, May 27.
According to the OPP, the initial investigation indicates that a pedestrian was lying on County Road 12 prior to being struck by a commercial vehicle.
The 40-year-old man was confirmed dead at the scene, and the OPP tells CityNews Ottawa investigators are working to piece together the sequence of events.
An OPP Collision Reconstructionist and members of the Technical Collision Investigation team are assisting the SD&G OPP with this ongoing investigation.
