OPP put out plea for missing dog after owner was in a vehicle collision

Ontario Provincial Police from the Ottawa detachment are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing dog.

Officials say the dog was last seen on Sept. 16 by Highway 417 near Panmure Road after he and his owner were involved in a vehicle collision.

During the incident, the dog took off scared and efforts to find him have been unsuccessful.

The two-year-old canine is described as a black lab mix with a curly coat. He was last seen wearing a red harness and a pineapple collar.

If located, people can either contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and reference case number E241241359 or contact the Cedarview Animal Hospital at 613-825-5001 and they will contact the owner.
