OPP stop, charge impaired driver on Highway 7 near Perth

On July 12, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received several calls for an “erratic driver” on Highway 7 east of Perth.

Just after 7:00 p.m., officers found the vehicle. The driver was arrested and transported to the Lanark OPP detachment for testing.

Marissa Steacy, 33, was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – alcohol
  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

Steacy’s licence is suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for seven days.

She is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth in mid August.
