OPS looking for male suspect following assault at Bluesfest near main stage

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) Central Criminal Investigation Section is asking the public for help in identifying a suspect who assault an individual at Bluesfest on July 9th

The assault took place near the centre of the field facing the main stage around 10 p.m. Tuesday evening, wrote OPS in a press release.

According to police, the altercation began after the suspect had bumped into the individual — and the victim sustained minor injuries.

OPS identified the suspect as a white male, approximately 5’11” (180 cm), large muscular build, and short “dirty blond” hair.

Witnesses described the suspect as wearing a red/purple shirt, light-coloured shorts and red shoes, at the time of the incident, said police.

OPS is asking anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect or the incident to contact the Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigation Section at 613-236-1222, extension 5166.
