Firefighters put out a high-rise balcony fire before it spread into the building early Tuesday morning.
Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) says that around 5:28 a.m. a balcony fire at a high-rise in the 0-100 block of Cartier Street was called in.
Fire crews arrived on scene and saw smoke and flames coming from a 12th floor balcony. They made their way to the floor before the fire could could spread inside the apartment or affect any other units.
Firefighters say nobody was at the unit during the fire.
No injuries have been reported.
