A driver was pulled to safety by Ottawa firefighters Tuesday afternoon in Manotick.
Shortly after 2 p.m., Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) responded to a request from the Ottawa Police Service (OPS) for assistance at Bankfield Road and Prince of Wales Drive.
Upon arrival, firefighters confirmed a dump truck had flipped into a ditch and the driver was pinned under the steering wheel.
Firefighters stabilized the truck and then began the extrication process.
Specialized tools were used to safely extricate the driver within 20 minutes of OFS being dispatched to the scene.
