Firefighters safely extricated a trapped driver late Saturday afternoon near the Queensway Carleton Hospital.
Ottawa Fire Services (OFS) says that at around 5:30 p.m. they responded to the 3000 block of Baseline Road for a single vehicle accident.
Firefighters arrived on scene and found two vehicles involved in a crash with one of the drivers trapped inside.
OFS says specialized tools were used to take off the driver side door and firefighters rescued the occupant.
It is unknown if the driver sustained any injuries.
