Ottawa man charged in theft of pickup truck from construction business

A man from Ottawa is facing charges in connection with the theft of a pickup truck in Lanark County.

Shorty after 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Apr. 24, members of the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information about a pick-up truck which had been taken from the parking lot of a construction company.

According to the OPP, the driver initially evaded police but was later located and arrested.

Mickey Neal, 38, of Ottawa, faces the following charges:

  • Theft of a Motor Vehicle
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Flight From Peace Officer
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000

The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
