Ottawa police ask for help identifying suspect in OC Transpo assault

The Ottawa Police Service (OPS) is asking for help identifying the person responsible for an assault on a city bus last month.

Police say a group of youths was riding an OC Transpo bus around 3 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23 when they were approached by a man.

One of the youths was assaulted, suffering serious injuries.

The suspect then got off the bus at Place d’Orléans and boarded another bus.

The suspect is described as:

  • A white man
  • Mid-to-late 30’s
  • Heavy set with green eyes
  • Distinct mole on right cheek

At the time of the incident, he was seen wearing a grey Adidas shirt, dark cargo pants, black boots and a black Senators ball cap.
