Ottawa teen to compete on Canada’s diving team at Paris Olympics

Diving Plongeon Canada and the Canadian Olympic Committee unveiled Team Canada’s roster of diving athletes nominated to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and one Ottawa native was selected.

Kate Miller is set to join Team Canada diving athletes to compete at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

Miller, who started diving at age six, made her start at the World Aquatics Championships in 2023, where she teamed with McKay to finish eighth in the women’s 10-metre synchro event.

The pair went on to win 10-metre synchro silver at the 2023 World Aquatics Diving World Cup Super Final, only a few weeks later.

That year, they took home 10-metre synchro silver at the Pan Am Games in Santiago.

Most recently, McKay and Miller placed sixth in the 10-metre synchro event at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships, qualifying them for Paris 2024.

They continued to win a pair of synchro silver medals at the World Cup in Berlin and the World Cup Super Final in Xi’an, China.
