The week is going to close out on a wet note across eastern Ontario.
Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for a large area, including Ottawa.
The rain is expected to start during the evening hours of Thursday, Aug 8, due to a low-pressure system interacting with the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby.
The weather agency says the rain is forecast to continue through Friday, with rainfall amounts possibly exceeding 50 mm.
The warning is in effect for an area including:

- Renfrew
- Arnprior
- Calabogie
- Smiths Falls
- Perth
- Eastern Lanark County
- Richmond
- Metcalfe
- Merrickville-Wolford
- Kemptville
- Plevna
- Sharbot Lake
- Western Lanark County
- Westport
- Charleston Lake
- Kingston
