The Victoria Day long weekend has arrived, and while we are in for a wet start, the rain will give way to plenty of sunshine.
Environment Canada is also calling for summer temperatures right through the weekend.
According to the weather agency, we are starting off with a mix of sun and cloud for Friday, along with the possibility of a few showers. The forecast high is 23 C with a humidex of 25. A chance of showers persists into the evening with a risk of thunderstorms and an overnight low 15 C.
There is a small chance of morning showers for Saturday followed by a cloudy afternoon. The forecast high is 26 C with a humidex of 28.
The rest of the weekend looks hot and sunny.
The forecast high for Sunday is 27 C under beautiful, sunny skies.
The sunshine continues into Monday, with a high 28 C.
The overnight lows will sit around 15 C.
