Pembroke resident charged for sending intimate photos without consent

An individual from Pembroke is facing charges after police allege intimate photos were sent without consent.

On Wednesday, Apr. 24, the Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) began investigating a report of a former romantic partner sharing intimate images of an adult victim.

As a result, a 47-year-old has been charged with distributing intimate images without consent.

The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in a Pembroke courtroom on May 21.

The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
