Police are hoping someone can help them identify a suspect responsible for a sexual assault while aboard the OC Transpo light rail transit (LRT) system.
According to the press release, the incident happened Oct. 28 at about 3:30 p.m. as the train was travelling east to Blair Station. The victim was approached by the suspect who began interacting with them. Police said the suspect sexually assaulted the victim and exited the train at Blair to then board a bus to the east end of Ottawa.
The accused is described as a Black man, with an average build and dark facial hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt under a black puffy jacket, black sweatpants and running shoes. He was seen carrying a dark backpack.
