Police charge 22-year-old with loaded firearm, drugs in broad daylight

In the middle of the afternoon, Ottawa police conducted a traffic stop on Highway 417.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday and resulted in multiple charges laid. Once stopped, police said the vehicle held a loaded firearm, drugs, open alcohol and a large quantity of currency.

The items were seized by officials.

A 22-year-old from Ottawa was charged with various firearm, Constrolled Drugs and Substances Act, Highway Traffic Act and Liquor Licence Act offences.
