Police charge one in Manor Park homicide. Seeking other suspect

The Ottawa Police Services (OPS) have charged a 20-year-old in a shooting that happened in Manor Park.

On April 19, police say Kevin Willington, 53, was shot near Hemlock Road and Birch Avenue. He had life-threatening injuries and died shortly after.

Police now believe the incident happened during the robbery of a weekly basement poker game after a struggle, the press release reads.

OPS charged Tristan Ethier of Ottawa with second-degree murder. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 10.

Officials are still seeking a second suspect who is described as a white man, 6’1” to 6’2” about 190 pounds and wearing dark clothing and a mask.
