Police concerned for wellbeing of missing Indigenous woman

June 13 was the last day anyone saw a missing 39-year-old Indigenous woman in Ottawa.

Police say they are asking the public for help to find Anna Pitseolak. She was last seen at 1:30 p.m. leaving St. Laurent Shopping Centre. There is a concern for her well-being.

She is described as 5’5” and about 200 lbs. She has short red and pink hair and multiple facial piercings. She was wearing a black jacket, light blue or gray jeans, black shoes, a black touque and carrying a burgundy backpack.

The police press release says she frequents Overbrook, Vanier and Carlingwood neighbourhoods and is likely walking or on the bus.

Anyone with information on the current whereabouts of Anna is asked to call the Ottawa Police at 613-236-1222 extension 7502.
