Ottawa police’s homicide investigation unit is looking into a serious assault that resulted in the victim dying.
Over the long weekend, officers responded to the assault in downtown near the 100 block of Queen Street. The incident happened just after 6 a.m. on Monday.
Police located a burn victim who was sent to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, officials said the man died and they are now investigating the incident as a homicide. Police have not said whether the incident was targeted.
