Ontario Provincial Police cautioned the public of an increased presence near Arnprior on Thursday morning.
According to a post by the force, officers were at the Highway 417 and Highway 17 junction just outside of the Ottawa Valley town. Police said there is no threat to public safety, but commuters experienced a “slight” delay.
Just after 9 a.m. police cleared the scene, but have no said what caused the presence.
