Police say 3 youths vandalized trees, benches, washrooms in Morrisburg Park

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) from the Stormont Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Detachment said three young people are responsible for vandalism in Morrisburg, Ont.

During the week of June 7, police were notified of vandalism in the area of Morrisburg Waterfront Park. Over $19,000 in damage to trees, benches, washrooms and a viewing platform happened.

Since the incidents, the OPP and the Ministry of Natural Resources have been investigating.

One youth has been charged with mischief and one has been referred to a youth diversion program. The third was warned about the incident.
