Quebec provincial police arrested two drivers for excessive speeding over the weekend.
Around 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, Sûreté du Québec police officers intercepted a vehicle on Highway 50 east in Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours.
Police say the driver was traveling at 186 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.
The 26-year-old man from Dollars-des-Ormeaux was handed a $1,639 ticket and 18 demerit points for the speeding violation.
Then. around 11 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, police intercepted a motorcyclist for speeding on Highway 50 east in Gatineau.
The driver was clock going 162 km/h in a 100km/h.
The 23-year-old man from Laval received a $1,264 ticket and 14 demerit points for the speeding violation.
Both drivers had their licences suspended for a period of seven days.
