Five people are facing charges following a traffic stop in Renfrew.
Members of the Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted the traffic stop on Gillan Road around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 5.
As a result of the investigation, all five vehicle occupants were arrested and face the following charges:
Kiely East, 35, of Arnprior:
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order (three counts)
- Fail to comply with release order- other than to attend court (five counts)
- Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose (two counts)
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- other drugs
- Possessions of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- cocaine
- Carrying concealed weapon
Jessica Moore, 31, of Renfrew:
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- other drugs
- Possessions of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- cocaine
Jade Charlebois, 25, of Renfrew:
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- other drugs
- Possessions of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- cocaine
Jacob Presley, 27, of Renfrew:
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- other drugs
- Possessions of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- cocaine
Jason Pye, 33, of Renfrew:
- Breach of firearms regulation- transport firearm or restricted weapon
- Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
- Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
- Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm
- Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- other drugs
- Possessions of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- cocaine
All five accused were held for bail.
