Renfrew traffic stop leads to charges against five people

Five people are facing charges following a traffic stop in Renfrew.

Members of the Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted the traffic stop on Gillan Road around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 5.

As a result of the investigation, all five vehicle occupants were arrested and face the following charges:

Kiely East, 35, of Arnprior:

  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order (three counts)
  • Fail to comply with release order- other than to attend court (five counts)
  • Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose (two counts)
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- other drugs
  • Possessions of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- cocaine
  • Carrying concealed weapon

Jessica Moore, 31, of Renfrew:

  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- other drugs
  • Possessions of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- cocaine

Jade Charlebois, 25, of Renfrew:

  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- other drugs
  • Possessions of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- cocaine

Jacob Presley, 27, of Renfrew:

  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- other drugs
  • Possessions of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- cocaine

 Jason Pye, 33, of Renfrew:

  • Breach of firearms regulation- transport firearm or restricted weapon
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm
  • Occupant of motor vehicle knowing there was firearm
  • Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- other drugs
  • Possessions of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- cocaine

All five accused were held for bail.
