Ottawa police say they responded to over 90 crashes on city streets Thursday — nearly triple what they typically see.
The wet snow and cold also led to transit disruptions for morning commuters.
Light snow is expected to continue fall in the Ottawa region overnight Thursday, turning into a rain/snow mix Friday.
Temperatures are headed upwards for the weekend in the nation’s capital, with a mix of sun and cloud Saturday and a high of plus 8C.
Environment Canada is forecasting highs of 15C by Monday and Tuesday of next week.
