As autumn officially arrives this weekend, the summer weather is hanging on tight.
The National Capital Region will see plenty of sunshine and above average temperatures, with highs in the mid-20’s right through Sunday.
To kick things off, Environment Canada is calling for mainly sunny skies Friday with a high 27 C and a humidex of 32.
That sunshine continues Saturday with a forecast high of 25 C and humidex of 30.
While some clouds could roll in for Sunday, the weather agency is still predicting some sunny breaks and high 23 C.
The average forecast high for this time of year is around 18 C.
As for autumn, the golden season arrives on Sunday at 8:43 a.m.
We will see more fall-like weather next week with temperatures around 18 to 20 C and rain possibly moving for Tuesday and Wednesday.
