The Ottawa Police Service Homicide Unit has charged 18-year-old Ibrahim Ocal, following the stabbing death of a 15-year-old youth in the 100 block of Constellation Drive on May 2.
Ocal was originally charged with Aggravated Assault and Assault with a weapon by the Criminal Investigations Section.
The suspect is now charged with First-degree murder after the victim, Ellis Smith, succumbed to his injuries on May 4th.
The suspect is scheduled to appear in court today.
