Suspect wanted after ‘intentionally’ bumping into and assaulting two females

Police are looking for the man responsible for the assault of two female victims who were walking on a busy downtown street.

It happened at 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 7, when the two females were walking down Dalhousie Street near St. Patrick Street in the ByWard Market area.

A police press release says the suspect “intentionally” bumped into the two females and then began assaulting them, “eventually knocking one of them to the ground.”

Both sustained minor injuries.

Officials are looking for a Black male, about 25 to 30 years old with a slim build and short dark hair and a goatee. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a burgundy tank top, black zip-up sweatshirt, black pants, white running shoes and a blue and white bandana on his head.

Police add that he was carrying multiple reusable shopping bags.
