Theft of $235K worth of heavy machinery in eastern Ontario sparks investigation

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) says business owners should be on the lookout after heavy machinery was stolen in The Nation Municipality.

Police say that on March 30, 2024, a male suspect was trespassing on private property at a business near St-Isidore. The OPP says on April 2, 2024, a backhoe valued at around $235,000 was stolen from a business located at a different property in the same area.

The investigation is ongoing.
