Four people were taken to hospital after a school bus and a transport truck collided in Russell County.
Around 4:15 p.m. on Monday, Apr. 22, members of the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to the collision on Route 400 at the intersection of MacDonald Road.
Officers were assisted on scene by the Russell and Embrun Fire Departments and Ottawa and Prescott-Russell Emergency Medical Services (EMS).
The investigation shows the school bus attempted to enter the highway and collided with an eastbound transport truck.
In addition to the driver, there were three students on the school bus.
All four occupants were taken to the hospital by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver and lone occupant of the transport truck was not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
