The Ottawa Police Service has identified the 58-year-old man who was found dead Friday night in an area close to the Stonebridge Golf Course.
He has been identified as Wilson Sabarros of Ottawa.
Police say they were called to the area of Pondhollow Way and Golflinks Drive, near the Stonebridge Golf Course, around 5:15 p.m.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. It’s not clear where he was found. Pondhollow Way was closed to vehicles as the Forensics Unit was at the scene late into the evening.
Police say no arrests have been made and they don’t believe there is a risk to public safety.
Outside 6 Pondhollow Way is still taped off and a police car can be seen at the scene, as of Saturday morning.
“The investigation is in its early stages and we’re unable to provide additional information at this time,” police said in a statement Saturday to CTV News Ottawa.
