Ontario Provincial Police say a man was killed in a crash on Highway 7 Monday morning.
Emergency services responded to the crash shortly after 10 a.m. near Flinton Road northeast of the town of Tweed.
A car and a tractor trailer collided head-on, police say. The man, who was driving the car, was ejected from his vehicle.
“Despite life-saving efforts by paramedics, the individual was pronounced deceased at the scene,” OPP say.
The victim was identified as a 61-year-old man from Peterborough.
The truck driver did not suffer any serious injuries.
The highway was reopened shortly before 9 p.m.
An investigation continues.
